Agnew Family Takeover November 28th & 29th
The Punk Rock Museum will be hosting a special two-day celebration honoring the legacy of the Agnew family and their enduring influence on punk music and culture. Taking place November 28th and 29th, the event will feature the opening of an exhibition centered on the Southern California punk scene, film screenings and conversations with legendary musicians Rikk Agnew, Alfie Agnew, Frank Agnew, Jr., and Frontier Records founder Lisa Fancher.
Friday evening opens with an intimate gathering celebrating the debut of the exhibition, joined by filmmaker Gabe Zavala, Fancher, and members of the Agnew family, followed by a informal screening of Agnew: The Concert Film. On Saturday, an artist talk will lead into a screening of Agnew: The Story of a California Family, exploring the family’s foundational role in shaping pivotal Orange County bands including The Adolescents, Christian Death, and D.I., and their lasting contributions to underground culture.
Additional program details along with a special note about the Agnew family’s collaboration with the Punk Foundation, will be shared soon.
