June 6th: Tiki Punk 2!
TIKI PUNK 2: THE CONFLUENCE OF TIKI & PUNK ART
Opening Night — June 6th at 8 PM
Punk culture and the rediscovery of tiki culture emerged side-by-side in 1980s Southern California as anti-establishment movements reacting to the political and cultural climate of the Reagan era. Punk became a raw expression of frustration, resistance, and catharsis as a direct response to authoritarianism, greed, and the glamorization of wealth. Tiki culture offered a different form of rebellion: escape. Its followers rejected the sterile promises of suburban conformity and sought freedom in the fantasy of the South Pacific, exotic cocktails, and a more untamed way of life.
Though radically different in tone, both cultures gave a collective middle finger to mainstream America and its conservative values.
TIKI PUNK 2 celebrates the collision of these two worlds through an eclectic lineup of artists whose work fuses punk attitude with tiki aesthetics across art, music, and design.

Opening Night kicks off June 6th at 7 PM with live tiki musical guests performing in the bar to keep the vibes high and the cocktails flowing all night long.
Throughout the exhibition, we’ll be releasing a limited run of prints, tiki mugs, and additional surprise drops.
The Three Star Bar will also be featuring Tiki Classics all summer long, along with upcoming Tiki Cocktail Workshops.
Join us for a night of art, rebellion, escapism, music, and rum-soaked tropical chaos.
